Make your own wedding ring workshop

 In a nutshell…

What could be more special than exchanging handmade wedding rings with your partner, knowing that you have made them at one of my private wedding ring workshops? Workshops are held in my studio in Wick, Caithness. Under my guidance, over 3/4 hours you will make each others wedding ring.

How much does this cost?

The session is £350 plus the cost of the metal you choose, silver wedding bands are included in this price. We have a design consultation where you will have a look at sample rings and choose which style you like. After our session I work out the cost of your preferred ring in the metal you have chosen. On average for a pair of rings the cost is anywhere between £350 and £1300 however if a larger chunky gold/platinum band is chosen it will be more than this estimation. If the desired metals don’t work in with your budget we look at alternative metals that are available.

 At the workshop

The most exciting part of the process is where you get to make your rings. We measure, cut, texture (if desired), form, hammer, solder and polish your rings. The session is step by step with demos along the way with lots of photos of you doing each part of the process. We stop half way through for a tea break also.

What happens after the workshop?

After your session we can discuss if the rings need any engraving, hallmarking, plating etc and I can arrange this and get them sent away. I send you over the photos from your session via facebook or email. A double ring box is provided along with some handmade chocolates when you collect. If your ring needs altered after the session before the wedding feel free to get in touch for resizing, this will be free of charge unless your ring has been plated as will need to be replated at an additional cost.

How far in advance should we make our rings?

The earlier the better, however I’d recommend doing this about 3 months before the wedding. Silver bands can be made the month of the wedding.
